March 22, 2007

The next SBDM Council meeting is set for April 12, 2007

Present:  Mike McKenzie, Debbie Huffman, Sherri McPherson, Jeannie Graham, Van Kirk, Sally Adams, Bill Bradford, Bobbie Simpson, Larry Sykes, Verna Clemons, Janet Lee, Marsha Bordas

Absent:  Rob Strobel

Introductions

• Kerri Hancock, Mrs. McPherson’s student teacher and Casey Caddock, a UK student were introduced.

Agenda

• Bill Bradford made a motion and Verna Clemons seconded that:  We approve the agenda as amended.  The motion passed.

Minutes

• Van Kirk made a motion and Bobby Simpson seconded that:  We approve the minutes from the March 15, 2007 SBDM Council meeting as written.  The motion passed.

Fee Waiver

• Janet Lee made a motion and Marsha Bordas seconded that:  We approve the fee waiver requests as presented with $450 to be allocated to Family Consumer Science for the zoo trip and half the remaining balance allocated to the Art department. The Council will re-visit fee waiver request at the next meeting.  The motion passed.

Smaller Learning Committee Grant

• Jeannie Graham made a motion and Bobbie Simpson seconded that:  We approve Lafayette High School applying for a new Smaller Learning Committee Grant for next year.  The motion passed.

Sherri McPherson made a motion and Verna Clemons seconded that:  We adjourn the March 22, 2007 SBDM Council meeting.  The motion passed.
