Advanced Placement (AP) Information
Advanced Placement, or AP, courses give high school students a head start to college. Twenty –four courses are offered on the schedule card in math, sciences, history, the humanities and more. AP courses are available to those students who are looking for a challenge and want to get ahead in a prospective major. At the end of the course of study, students have the opportunity to sit the AP exam. It is scored on a scale from 1 to 5. Students earning a 3 or above are considered passing.
