YEARBOOK ORDERS DUE: Yearbook orders are due by May 12th. Go to www.jostensyearbooks.com to order today! Stop by Room 219 with any questions.

PROM GUEST CONTRACT/TICKET REMINDER: Prom Guest contracts are due to Ms. Brown in the front office by 3:20 PM today! No guest contracts will be accepted after that time! Prom tickets will be on sale during 2nd, 3rd, and 4th lunches today for $30 each. Ticket price increases to $35 each next Monday through Wednesday! The last day to purchase your prom ticket will be next Thursday, April 27th and the price will be $40 each.

INTRAMURAL BASKETBALL: Students interested in playing 3 on 3 Intramural Basketball can sign-up with Coach V in Room 301 all this week!

TRANSY REPRESENTATIVE VISIT: Transylvania University will be here next Wednesday, April 26th at 9 AM to talk to interested students. You can sign up to meet with their representative with Mrs. Baker in the counseling office.

OUTDOOR CLUB PERMISSION FORMS DUE: Outdoor Club permission forms for the canoe trip are due by this Friday, April 21st!

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY OFFICER ELECTIONS: NHS Juniors: those interested in running for office, your speeches should be emailed to Ms. Holland by Friday, 04/21/17.

ATTENTION SENIORS: The Seal of Biliteracy applications are due back to the counseling office by this Friday, April 21st. The exam to determine biliteracy will be given after school on Wednesday, April 26th.

ALIVE @ 25: The next Alive @ 25 4-hour required course for your graduated license requirements will be held on Wednesday, April 26th from 4-8 pm in Room 140. Registration forms are available from Ms. Brown in the front office!

PROGRESS REPORTS: Progress reports were handed out to students in their A-4 class on 4/13. Students that have afternoon Votech classes:  please stop by the counseling office to pick up your progress report.

LHS WRESTLING: Anyone interested in learning the sport of wrestling, open mat starts next Tuesday at the green building behind Lafayette's gym. Don't worry about size, knowledge or anything that might stop you. We want you for the team. So come ready. We will teach you all you need to know.  Times are 5:30-7 Tuesday and Thursdays. See you there.

LAFAYETTE GRADUATION: Lafayette’s Class of 2017 will graduate on Wednesday, May 24th at 4 PM at Rupp Arena.

PROM 2017: Attention Juniors and Seniors! The Junior Class proudly presents this year’s prom, “Dancing Under the Stars” which will be held on Saturday, April 29th from 8-11 pm at the Carrick House. Tickets go on sale next Monday in the cafeteria during lunch. Tickets are $30 each if you purchase them next week. Tickets purchased the week of prom will be $35 each. The last day of ticket sales will on Thursday, April 27th. The cost per ticket on that day will be $40. Purchase your ticket early for the discounted price! Remember Guest Contracts are due to Ms. Brown in the front office by April 21st!

SENIORS: Seniors that have already paid for their caps and gowns and did not pick them up yet can pick them up from Ms. Chastain in the YSC – Room 116.

COLLEGE VISITS: Juniors and Seniors can sign up in the counseling office to meet with a representative from these schools and learn more about what they offer and the application process:

Midway University – Monday, April 24th at 9 AM

Transylvania University – Wednesday, April 26th at 9 AM

DONATE PLASTIC BOTTLE CAPS: Help us recycle bottle caps and turn them into cool furniture for our school. This works for the bottle caps only, not the bottles. Look for collection bins in the Library and cafeteria to drop off your bottle caps for recycling!

DISTINGUISHED YOUNG WOMEN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: Distinguished Young Women (formerly Junior Miss) is the oldest and largest scholarship program in the U.S. The Fayette County Distinguished Young Women program sign up deadline is May 15, 2017. Come to the counseling office or visit www.Fayette.KY.DistinguishedYW.org for more information.

UK HEALTHCARE VOLUNTEER SERVICES: UK HealthCare Volunteer Services Department 2017 Summer Teen Volunteer applications are open. This program allows high School students an opportunity to explore the nature of a large healthcare facility, as well as provide volunteer service to the community. Please come to the counseling office for more information and website to apply.

IFAL CONFERENCE 2017: The Institute for Future Agricultural Leaders application for their Summer 2017 conference is now open. This is a 5 day summer leadership conference that exposes students to college life and explores different fields of study for careers in agriculture. There is a choice of conferences at Murray State University and the University of Kentucky. Please come to the counseling office for more information.
